The Management Shift: Reflecting on 2015, Anticipating 2016

Following the global launch of “The Management Shift” book in November 2014, I am delighted that 2015 has been such an most amazing year!  The book was selected by Forbes as one of the top eight business books in 2014, it won the Axiom Business Books Award (silver medal in “Leadership” category), it is shortlisted for the CMI Management Book of the Year Award, it was nominated for the FT & McKinsey Business Book Award and article based on this book won the CMI Management Articles of the Year Award 2015.

Due to the global acclaim of “The Management Shift” book, I was voted one of the Most Influential International HR Thinkers 2015, shortlisted for the Croatian Woman of Influence Award and nominated for the Thinkers50 Guru Radar and Ideas to Practice Award.

In 2015, I gave 25 keynote talks, published more than 35 blogs and articles in business press and completed research for the new book, where I interviewed 50 inspirational leaders about their “shift” story. More information about the new book will be provided in due course.

However, my work is not only about writing and speaking about my ideas. My work is also about transferring knowledge into action to make a positive difference for people and organisations. That is my purpose and mission. For years, I have been working with leaders and organisations globally to make a difference, to help them to implement the Big Shift – a shift in mindset and organisational culture that focuses on people and purpose and improves performance and profit. Given the success of The Management Shift ideas, I realised that I need to scale up the practical aspects of my work to create more positive ripples.

In January 2015 I became a part-time academic, in May 2015 I founded a management consultancy The Management Shift Ltd and gathered an amazing team of core members and a large network of associate members. We are now working on redesigning TMS website to provide more information about services we provide, in based on thought leadership. The Management Shift business operation is based on proprietary evidence-based tools and methodologies implemented by a cross-domain team, helping organisations globally to improve performance and become more engaging, purposeful and profitable – all at the same time!

So, in anticipation of what 2016 is likely to bring I can reveal that I am now taking more bookings for keynotes in the UK and internationally, booking new clients for The Management Shift projects, the TMS website will be relaunched in the early part of 2016, a number of new blogs and articles will be published and the new book will be completed by the end of the year. It seems like another amazing year is ahead for The Management Shift team and myself!

I feel very privileged to be able to live my purpose and walk the talk! For years, I have been saying to others “pursue your purpose and the success will pursue you” and now I feel I am a living proof that this works! Finally, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all followers and supporters of The Management Shift, without your support I would not have been able to create big positive ripples and pursue my quest to make this world a better place! Your support is much appreciated, even if I am unable to personally communicate with you all. Thank you all!
